The Processes engineering Department is a fundamental link in Sisteca Consultores’ chain of production. The experience of our professionals allows us to evaluate different options in order to determine the alternative that is best adapted to the time, cost and quality of the requirements of our clients, providing feasible, operable and maintainable solutions to the projects conferred to us.

Project: Increase of the Storage Capacity at Punta de Mata Oil Field Client: PDVSA
Develop the criteria and basis of design, material and heat balance, design of crude pumping systems, storage, fire extinguishing, sewage, and compressed air. Process flow chart, hydraulic calculation, list of pipelines, list of equipment, process and instrument diagrams, descriptions and simulation of processes, philosophy of operation, tie-points, grassroots interface with existing facilities, and instrumentation data sheets.
Project: Increase of the Gas Compression and Injection Capacity at Orocual Field Client: PDVSA
Development of the infrastructure to compress and inject 60 MMSCFD (Million cubical foot standard day) from 1300 psi to 6000 psi (pounds square inches) at 120° F, in order to increase the injection of gas associated to the Caripita (15 MMCFSD) and San Juan (40 MMSCFD) Oil Fields. This increment intends to reach a Gas Injection total of 125 MMCFSD to the Orocual Complex, in order to produce 59 MMBLS of petroleum until year 2019. The study and selection of compression alternatives, decision tree, technical–economic evaluation of options offered by the compressor suppliers, and evaluation of technologies available in the market. This project was due to the volumetric revision of the study of depth profiles of the oil field made in February of 2000, which foretold an increase of the relation gas/petroleum which would impact in a negative way the production of crude.
Project: Evaluation of the Fire Protection System at Travieso Tank Field Client: PDVSA
Surveying the fire extinction network, virtual design of the network for process simulation, and analysis points of failure, determination of state of all the components, design of the expansion system, and evaluation of pipes, sprinklers, pumps and other equipment and components of the system.
Project: Basic and Detail Engineering for the Construction of the Gas Collection System Client: Benton Vinccler
Basic and Detail engineering necessary for the construction of gas collection lines of the Uracoa field in its main gas pipelines 1 and 5, in order to incorporate them to the gas development system of the Monagas Sur Unit. Evaluation and validation of Conceptual Engineering developed by BV. Design of production separators/ test, mounted in skid and completely instrumented to handle a maximum flow of 10 MMSCFD of gas and 1500 BPD of liquid per separator at 300-500 psig of pressure, facilities of interconnection of 19 wells of average pressure with high Gas/Crude ratio of main oil pipe # 1. Facilities of interconnection of 5 wells of average pressure with high Gas/Crude ration of Main oil pipe # 5. Facilities of interconnection of liquid exit of separators from the main oil pipelines 1 and 5 designed in this project with the line of low pressure crude production, installation of bolster of gas collection of average pressure, and installation of high pressure gas pipelines.
