Mechanical Engineering

The Mechanical Engineering Department at Sisteca Consultores is in charge of the development of engineering related to storage tanks, mechanical equipment, machinery, pressure containers and heat exchangers.

Sisteca Consultores offers services of design, calculation and selection of equipment, specifications, technical/economic evaluations of supplies, revision of manufacturers’ documentation, work inspection, and mechanical works construction management. Similarly, we offer on-site inspection services to machinery and equipment shops, in order to review drawings, documents and manufacturing to assure the fulfillment of requirements, and obtaining quality results and optimizing time.

 
 
Project: Increase of the Storage Capacity at Punta de Mata Oil Field Client: PDVSA
Design of three crude storage tanks of floating ceilings with capacity of 250,000 Barrels per tank, basis and criteria of design, pipe materials specifications (piping class), fire protection system specifications, compressed air system specifications, buildings’ air conditioning, transference pump specifications, design of fire protection system, preliminary listing of materials for pipes, valves, accessories, plates and miscellaneous, list of valves, list of equipment, list of Joints (TIE - IN), implantation of equipment drawings (plot plans), flexibility analysis, pipes and instrumentation diagram, and metric computations.
Project: Increase of Gas Compression and Injection Capacity at Orocual Field Client: PDVSA
Development of the infrastructure to compress and to inject 60 MMSCFD, to 6000 psig at 120° F for gas associated to the Caripita and San Juan oil fields, design of entrance facilities to contain the corks and drag liquids that could form by condensation of liquids in the natural gas pipes. The design of a Compression Plant conformed by trains of compressors for the levels of suction pressure, including inter-phase gas coolers and depurators, and the design of the gas pipes that are connected to the bolster of injection of the Orocual Complex to distribute until the formation of 06 San Juan and Caripita.
Project: Basic and Detail Engineering for the Construction of the Gas Collection System Client: Benton Vinccler
Basic and Detail engineering necessary for the construction of the gas Collecting lines at Uracoa field in its main gas pipelines 1 and 5 in order to incorporate them to the Monagas Sur Unit development gas system and to equip such system with the necessary elements to reach optimal handling of the gas while fulfilling the highest safety, protection, and operation requirements according to National and International Norms.
Project: Evaluation of the Fire Protection System at Travieso Tank Field Client: PDVSA
Survey of the fire extinction network, virtual design of the network for simulation of the process, analysis of points of failure, design of the expansion of the system, evaluation of pipes, sprinklers, pumps and other equipment and components of the system.
